“Attīstībai / Par!” submitted the list of its candidates to run in the national elections to the 13th Saeima

On August 1st, political alliance “Attīstībai / Par!” (AP!) has submitted the list of candidates to run in the upcoming national elections to the 13th Saeima to the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Latvia.

Artis Pabriks, AP! candidate for the position of the Prime Minister: “We have created a balanced candidate list – politically experienced and competent leaders have united and are going to introduce more than 100 young, energetic, competent, and honest people.”

AP! co-chairman Juris Pūce: “ The mission of our list to the 13th Saeima is to defend democracy, strengthen European values in Latvian society, carry out urgent reforms in health care and education systems and simultaneously create a strong and long-term political power.”

AP! co-chairman Daniels Pavļuts: “Our alliance’s list of candidates is an answer to many people who need an alternative to governing stagnation and populism. This is a new draft for Latvian politics, these are young professional with international experience, good education, and a vision for the future.”

AP! candidate list is formed by 43 women and 72 men, 104 candidate with the higher education degree.

AP! aim is a modern and just Latvia in a united Europe. Latvia with a possibility for each, that does not belong to a few and consists of many.

The alliance of political parties “Attīstībai / Par!” (AP!) has nominated the member of the European Parliament Artis Pabriks as its candidate for the position of the Prime Minister of Latvia. Artis Pabriks is running in the upcoming national elections to the 13th Saeima and is leading alliance’s list in the Vidzeme electoral district. Riga district list is led by the political party’s “Kustība “Par!”” leader and co-chairman of the AP! Daniels Pavļuts; Kurzeme list is led by the political party’s “Latvijas Attīstībai” leader and co-chairman of the AP! Juris Pūce; Zemgale list – by the former Minister of Welfare Ilze Viņķele; last but not the least, Latgale list – by the deputy of the Riga city council Mārtiņš Bondars. Andris Skride, cardiologist, political party’s “Izaugsme” leader and member of the AP! board, is running with the 2nd number in the Vidzeme district list.
