During ALDE Party Congress 2022 in Dublin, Ireland, ‘Latvijas attīstībai’ signed Dublin Diversity Declaration on LGBTQI+ representation in Europe. Rainbow Platform is pan-European initiative to drive LGBTQI+ representation in European politics ahead of the 2024 election, hosted an event at the 2022 ALDE Party Congress in Dublin, Ireland. At the ceremony both high-profile political actors and operative leaders have spoken up on the issue of low LGBTQI+ representation and pledged to better it on a European, national, and local level too.
“’Latvijas attīstībai’ is the first political party in Latvia that pledged to actively support LGBTQ+ rights. Whilst signing Dublin Diversity Declaration ‘Latvijas attīstībai’ once again reiterated its determination to fight for equality and to actively support promotion of LGBTQ+ representation in political processes,” one of declaration signees from ‘Latvijas attīstībai’ Juris Lavrikovs reiterated.
